Reconnect this Fall

“All of a sudden, people have been coming out of hiding!”  I have heard this over and over again this week and have experienced it myself.  August seemed to be a month where people collapsed from the stress of the economic rollercoaster and sought refuge in summer hide-aways—even stay-cations!  While clients are ready to focus and want you to do the work you were ready to do for them in July right now, it is important that you ALSO take time to strategize for your own goals.  End of the year is coming and with it comp evaluations.  There is still time to engage in valuable business development activities that will strengthen the impact of your evaluation.

Think:

  1. What relationships have you let go silent?  Schedule time to reconnect
  2. Who would you like to begin a relationship with?  What is a potential point of connection with that person? Schedule a time to reach out, be bold!
  3. What events will you be attending over the next few months?  List people you would like to connect with, reach out to them ahead of time.

Fall is a high energy time for making relationships.  Significant momentum can occur by thinking and acting strategically.
