“What am I thankful for?” will resonate around most Thanksgiving tables this week. I don’t know about you, but my sharing will be filled with heart-felt gratitude for my family, health and many gifts that surround the part of my life that I share with those that I love.
But those comments are incomplete as my gratitude extends beyond my personal world to my colleagues, partners, trusted advisors and professional friends. In this blog all of you sit around my virtual table. My appreciation for those in my amazing, professional world abounds. The trust that you have bestowed on me through one-on-one relationships, introductions to colleagues and organizations, recommendations and encouragement goes beyond all the visions that I ever had when I thought of what the phrase “professional life” meant. You have taught me, included me and nudged me. You have honored me by asking me to provide services, inquiring about my opinions and listening to my out-of-the-box ideas. Knowing the demands that the legal profession places on you makes me even more appreciative to have been so warmly welcomed in to your world.
You have taught me the power of colleagues helping each other.
As I sit around this virtual table, I am moved as I acknowledge how thankful I am to have you in my life. I wish you, and all those reading this message, a wonderful, loving Thanksgiving.
